Advancing Eco-Friendly Construction
A key focus of this network is the promotion of bio-based and low-impact construction materials, supporting the development, validation, and commercialization of sustainable alternatives such as concrete made of recycled aggregate and ash, green composite steel-concrete, recycled rubber from waste tires, and construction materials made from bio-material (spent coffee grounds, industrial hemp residues, sunflower biomass…)Through partnerships with material science researchers and bio-economy stakeholders, we drive research in alternative, low-carbon construction solutions

As part of its commitment to international cooperation and within the Sustainable Construction network, The Association of Balkan Eco-Innovation (ABE), is an Innovation Cluster within the Build4People Initiative, which aligns with the core principles of the New European Bauhaus (NEB). This affiliation reflects ABE’s dedication to sustainability by developing solutions that minimize environmental impact and contribute to climate neutrality.
We stand as a catalyst for eco-innovation in the Balkan region, actively shaping the future of sustainable construction and broader sustainability-driven technological advancements.
