Right after the CAPIGI 2025 conference, the HASHTAG project held its first in-person Advisory Board meeting in Amersfoort, Netherlands, a major step in shaping trustworthy and practical satellite-based data solutions for agriculture.
The Association of Balkan Eco-Innovation (ABE) took part in the event, continuing our work as the lead of Work Packages 10 and 11, where we are responsible for boosting project visibility, communicating project activities, and ensuring effective dissemination of project results.

Tackling key questions in smart farming data
The meeting began with introductions and expectations, before diving into strategic dialogue around HASHTAG’s future direction and user impact.
Key questions included:
- Where is HASHTAG heading?
- How can we ensure its solutions are trusted, practical, and valuable to real users like farmers, advisors, and policymakers?
From data to decisions: What the board discussed
Advisory Board members engaged in open and insightful discussion around:
- Data provenance, certification, and reliability
- Legal frameworks and data governance
- Real-world implementation and usability
- How to make HASHTAG tools understandable and valuable for non-experts
The conversation focused on creating transparent, traceable, and high-quality data flows to support smarter, more resilient agriculture across Europe.
